چکیده

Let O be an order in the number field K. When O 6= OK , O is Noetherian and onedimensional, but is not integrally closed, so it has at least one nonzero prime ideal that’s not invertible and O doesn’t have unique factorization of ideals. That is, some nonzero ideal in O does not have a unique prime ideal factorization. We are going to define a special ideal in O, called the conductor, that is closely related to the noninvertible prime ideals in O. The nonzero ideals in O that are relatively prime to the conductor will be invertible and have unique factorization into prime ideals in O.

Sum rules for inhomogeneous Coulomb fluids, and ideal conductor boundary conditions

2014 The charge correlation function of an inhomogeneous Coulomb fluid is shown to obey a sum rule involving electrical multipole moments of arbitrary order; this sum rule is a further generalization of the StillingerLovett second-moment condition. An application is given for a fluid bounded by an ideal conductor wall; it is shown how the chemical potentials control both the bulk and surface pr...

This paper compares two methods of statistical mechanics used to study a classical Coulomb system S near an ideal conductor C. The first method consists in neglecting the thermal fluctuations in the conductor C and constrains the electric potential to be constant on it. In the second method the conductor C is considered as a conducting Coulomb system the charge correlation length of which goes ...

Recovering Short Generators of Principal Fractional Ideals in Cyclotomic Fields of Conductor pα qβ

Several recent cryptographic constructions – including a public key encryption scheme, a fully homomorphic encryption scheme, and a candidate multilinear map construction – rely on the hardness of the short generator principal ideal problem (SG-PIP): given a Z-basis of some principal (fractional) ideal in an algebraic number field that is guaranteed to have an exceptionally short generator with...

7 A ug 2 00 3 Scattering Theory of Noise : Current and Charge Fluctuations in an ideal Conductor

We present the most complete scattering theory for noise in noninteracting case. The exact formula for spectral density of current fluctuations at finite frequency is presented in terms of scattering matrix for a coherent quantum conductor. We show that the shot noise at finite frequency in an ideally conducting contact is finite and the spectral density of the noise has a singularity at the " ...

Dyadic Green’s function of an ideal hard surface circular waveguide with application to excitation and scattering problems

[1] Green’s function analysis of ideal hard surface circular waveguides is proposed with application to excitation and scattering problems. A decomposition of the hard surface waveguide into perfect electric conductor and perfect magnetic conductor waveguides allows the representation of dyadic Green’s function in terms of transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) waveguide modes, r...
